Bayer Diabetes Care launches new A1C monitor

Bayer Diabetes Care (Tarrytown, NJ) launched the A1CNow® SELFCHECK, a new A1C monitor that enables people with diabetes to check their A1C level at home. Bayer recently received approval from the FDA (Rockville, MD) for its A1CNow SELFCHECK, which enables patients to more closely watch their A1C level in between healthcare provider visits. This allows patients to modify their diet and exercise, or have a more informed discussion with their healthcare provider. A1CNow SELFCHECK is now available without a prescription and through leading on-line pharmacies, and provides at-home results within five minutes.
