Electronic Stethoscopes

The stethoscope is a device used by medically trained practitioners to listen to breath sounds, bowel sounds and physiologic or diagnostic sounds produced in various body cavities and in various medical conditions. Medical equipment manufacturers produce electronic stethoscopes, which use amplification of sound through electronic means to make sounds louder and clearer. Physicians and other trained practitioners use electronic stethoscopes in offices and medical clinics to diagnose disease and evaluate the efficacy of treatment.
