ESR Analyzers

ESR analyzers are physician office laboratory devices that perform a test to determine the erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR). The ESR is an indirect measure of the level of inflammation in a patient. To perform the test, venous blood is collected in a special tube, which is then placed in the analyzer through a special port. Most of the ESR analyzers developed for use in physician offices and clinics are automated and provide ESR values in a matter of minutes.
