The Afinion point-of-care system is a simple, fast and reliable way to perform testing in the physicians’ office, clinic or hospital point-of-care setting. The system and the first test for HbA1c are FDA 510(k) cleared and National Glycohemoglobin Standardization Program (NGSP) Certified, as well as CLIA waived. The HbA1c test is performed using simple pin-prick blood sampling and provides results in only three minutes.

Afinion Analyzer System

Afinion AS100 Analyzer is designed to enable on-the-spot testing, regardless of the sample type.
The HbA1c test was launched in December 2004, and the CRP test in May 2005. Assays scheduled for 2007-2008: ACR (albumin:creatinine ratio), PT-INR, hsCRP and Homocysteine.

Multiassay Analyzer

The Afinion Analyzer System is a concept comprising an instrument specially designed to measure various chemistries, and consequently a very wide range of tests.
The reagent cartridge and the instrument are designed as closed units.
A unique failsafe system supervises and logs every step during processing and measurement. This ensures that a result will never be displayed if an error occurs during sample handling or measurement.
