BLADDER SCANNING

Bladder scanning equipment is produced by medical equipment manufacturers to aid physicians in determining urine volumes in patients. This medical equipment relies on an ultrasound sensor that uses high frequency, low energy sound waves to detect urine in the bladder. The returned sound waves pass through a computer that forms a picture of the bladder and the urine content.

This medical office equipment is used in physician offices and clinics to perform the bladder examinations on an outpatient basis.
