Medical Education Resources, LLC - Privacy Policy

Medical Education Resources, LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”, “Physicians Office Resource”, or “POR"), the owners and operators of https://www.physiciansofficeresource.com (the “Website”), values your confidence in us and respects your privacy. We hold the physicians who use our Website and your privacy concerns in the highest regard. This Privacy Policy Statement describes to you our practices regarding the personal information which you give to us, or we obtain about you, from our Website, products and services or from our third party partners.

Children's Information
We do not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from any person under the age of thirteen. No parts of our websites, products or services are designed to attract anyone under the age of thirteen.

Collection of your Personal Information
Physicians Office Resource collects personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, or telephone number as provided by you. Physicians Office Resource also collects anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your business ZIP code, business address, business state and country.

As part of the registration process, we may access public or proprietary databases to acquire such information as your business address and telephone number in order to reduce the amount of data input you are personally requested to do. You may be requested to confirm the accuracy of some of this information. We may associate and store the information you provide with the data we obtain from public or proprietary sources.

There is also information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by Physicians Office Resource. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring Website addresses. This information is used by Physicians Office Resource for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the Website.

We may also collect information through surveys conducted on our Website and may associate such responses with your profile to better assist us and our partners in providing or offering services to you.

Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through Physicians Office Resource public message boards, this information may be collected and used by others.

Physicians Office Resource encourages you to review the privacy statements of websites you choose to link to from Physicians Office Resource so that you can understand how those websites collect, use and share your information. Physicians Office Resource is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on websites outside of the Website located at https://www.physiciansofficeresource.com.

Information Collected from Other Sources
We may occasionally supplement your information with information we receive from other sources including, but not limited to (a) companies that provide our products or services by way of a co-branded or private-labeled website, (b) companies (e.g., pharmaceutical companies) that sponsor surveys or programs on our website (the entities in (a) and (b), collectively, "Partner Companies"), (c) downloadable software applications from our websites or (d) professional organizations such as the American Medical Associations, which we will add to the information which we already hold about you.

Use of your Personal Information
Physicians Office Resource collects and uses your personal information to operate the Website and various “connect” features within the Website, including Diagnostics & Devices, ConnectRx and eHealth, and to deliver the services you have requested.

We use the information we collect to administer our business activities, improve our website, products and services, provide customer service, make available products and services to our users and customers, and for the recruiting, marketing, and other business purposes of Physicians Office Resource and our Partner Companies.

Without limiting the foregoing, this information helps us to create your account, verify your identity, verify your eligibility for products and services, deliver interactive educational programs, provide you support, initiate and fulfill orders, complete transactions, and administer the website.

Without limiting the foregoing, we may use your personal information to communicate with you. For example, we may correspond with you, possibly through email, direct mail, fax, or phone calls related to your transactions and orders, participation in our surveys, programs and services, invitations to new surveys or programs and services, deliver information about new surveys, programs or services, and to alert you to developments in the use of pharmaceuticals or selected information from the pharmaceutical industry related to your medical specialty. We use contact and demographic information to offer participation in surveys or programs. We may need to respond to your comments or requests for information; or we may contact you if needed in the course of processing or shipping products or services offered through our websites. We may also use contact and demographic information to extend offers to you from our Partner Companies.

When you register with Physicians Office Resource, you generally provide us your name, license number and e-mail address. You also confirm other contact information about you. Your information is handled differently depending upon which, if any, advertisers with whom you request to be connected. If you request to be connected to a manufacturer of medical diagnostic equipment through the Diagnostics & Devices channel, your name and contact information, including your e-mail address, will be provided to the medical equipment manufacturer you specify. If, on the other hand, you request to be connected to a pharmaceutical company through ConnectRx, your name and contact information, excluding your e-mail address, will be provided to the pharmaceutical company you requested. Thus, your e-mail address is provided to companies through the Devices & Diagnostics channel, but not to companies through ConnectRx.

Physicians Office Resource does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties. Physicians Office Resource may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. In those cases, your unique personally identifiable information (e-mail, name, business address, telephone number) is not transferred to the third party. In addition, Physicians Office Resource may share data with trusted partners to help us perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to Physicians Office Resource, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

Physicians Office Resource keeps track of the websites and pages our customers visit within the Physicians Office Resource website in order to determine what Physicians Office Resource services are the most popular. This data is used to deliver customized content and advertising within the Physicians Office Resource website to customers whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.

Disclosure by Law
Physicians Office Resource may use or disclose personal information if it believes in good faith that such use or disclosure is necessary to (a) help identify any person attempting to break into or damage our website, (b) to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding any illegal activities, (c) to comply with relevant laws, or legal or regulatory obligations, (d) to respond to subpoenas or warrants served on the Physicians Office Resource, or (e) to protect or defend the rights or property of Physicians Office Resource or its customers. Without limiting the foregoing, we may share personal information with law enforcement agencies if we believe that we have evidence of a violation of computer security or related laws.

Use of Cookies
The Physicians Office Resource website uses "cookies" to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a webpage server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.

One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. The purpose of a cookie is to tell the web server that you have returned to a specific page. For example, if you personalize Physicians Office Resource pages, or register with the Physicians Office Resource website or services, a cookie helps Physicians Office Resource to recall your specific information on subsequent visits. This simplifies the process of recording your personal information, such as billing addresses, shipping addresses, and so on. When you return to the same Physicians Office Resource website, the information you previously provided can be retrieved, so you can easily use the Physicians Office Resource features that you customized.

You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of the Website or the Physicians Office Resource services you visit.

Although no website can guarantee the absolute security of your information, we are committed to taking commercially reasonable precautions as described below.

Personal information is stored in limited access servers and physical access to our servers requires individual authorization and authentication. Only authorized Physicians Office Resource employees or contractors carrying out permitted functions are allowed access to personal information. In addition, each employee and contractor of Physicians Office Resource is required to sign a confidentiality agreement requiring him or her to keep confidential all personal information of users and customers.
